The Regional Operations Engineering is the team responsible to provide a daily technical support to Service Operations over Vestas LATAM fleet, answer technical inquiries from our customers related to blades, support the local solution development applied to our fleet, propose improvements and apply global updates in a centralized process, ensure proper technical solution deployment for our sites, ensure correct main components and material selection for field application and pursue LPF reduction.
Responsabilities:
• In this role you will be part of the ROE Blades team, working closely with the blade team to provide technical support and assistance to the service department with operational key focus and priority. You will be able to apply your blade engineering experience, combined with high-quality planning, organizational and communication skills to develop a team of Blade. You will utilize your knowledge & interaction with the team to determine & deliver effective solutions for all service tasks and projects.
• Provide 1st level technical troubleshooting support to Service (Vestas & non-Vestas Wind Turbine)
• Provide onsite and back-office support on the blade damages assessment and repair methods
• Travel on a need basis to wind farms in order to enable direct issue resolution.
• Provision of ad-hoc support to validate the Component Inspection Report (CIR) related to blades in the sub-region as well as approve CIR's.
• Support the blade team with the identification of spare parts, materials and documentation, both for creation and improvement
• Support the sub-regional Service operations to ensure best practice is followed when conducting blade inspections and/or repairs
• Focused participation in regional forums, meetings and workshops
• To be a technology expert supporting the Vestas LATAM region related to blades
Qualifications:
• Technical graduation on Wind Industry correlated areas
• Intermediate English skills
• Graduate Degree in Science of Materials, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or similar will be highly valued
• Experience on blade damage assessment will be highly valued
