Under the management of the France HSE manager, the France HSE Lead for Construction is in charge of the implementation of the HSE policy in Construction projects, with the view to prevent accidents. you work closely with all related technical functions to bring Construction to the expected standard in HSE. You supervise external HSE Coordinators to cover all project works and to support the teams during all phases of construction projects. You identify and take actions to support continual improvement and to raise HSE awareness in Construction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive Vestas France HSE Policy to zero accident in construction works
  • Support France Vestas Construction in developing a safe working environment
  • Ensure HSE awareness improvement in all construction phases
  • Ensure HSE goals and targets are met within your scope
  • Ensure all legal and group requirements are met within your scope
  • Ensure clients awareness and liaison on HSE matters

 

Expectations

  • Supervise assignments of HSE coordinators to projects
  • Maintain HSE performance on construction projects
  • Engage with contractors so they deliver according to Vestas standard
  • Build, implement and deliver the France Construction HSE action plan, based on regional and group expectations
  • Bring HSE value proposition to internal and external clients/stakeholders
  • Continually review and improve HSE practices on site
  • Create engagement among internal leaders
  • Participate in best practices/knowledge sharing across the organisation (France/Region)
  • Minimum 40% presence on sites

 

Qualifications

  • Ideally Master’s degree in HSE or other relevant field
  • 10+ years experience in a similar environment (Oil&Gas, Civil works, major projects)
  • French and English a must, Spanish a bonus
  • Significant/relevant experience in an international environment
  • Good knowledge of the relevant legal requirements
  • Experience in an ISO environment is an asset
