Supply Chain Planning Specialist

Be part of a highly dedicated supply chain team that strives for implementing world class supplier forecasting in Vestas. As part of Global Supply Chain in Vestas, we are in ‘Forecasting and Materials Requirements Planning’ responsible for transporting and planning the supply chain in Vestas. The department consists of two employees working towards defining and implementing solid forecasting processes, tools and measurements. You will not be doing actual forecasting, but the goal is to strengthen the Supply Chain Planning setup in Vestas.


Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist, your areas of responsibility are to:

  • Define and implement supplier forecast processes and tools across Vestas
  • Coordinate and support root cause analysis in case of forecast issues
  • Define and implement supplier forecast measurements and validation reports
  • Ensure close engagement with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation both in Vestas and at suppliers to secure successful implementation of improvements to supplier forecasting

Qualifications

The key to success in this position is experience with supply chain planning, purchasing or forecasting from a complex global environment. We imagine that you hold a master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Development Engineering or similar, Moreover, we will value the following qualifications: 

  • A demonstrated track record of developing solutions for complex supply chains
  • Stakeholder- and project management skills
  • High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • SAP ERP experience is preferred
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)

  • You have strong analytical skills and being creative in the sense of thinking out of the box
  • Demonstrate personal commitment and focus on the correct data as well as the ability to focus on details without losing the overall perspective
  • Goal-oriented with a strong drive; demonstrated enthusiasm for taking on responsibility and achieving results independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills being able to communicate at all levels in the organisation
  • The ability to manage multiple remote stakeholders
  • You can keep the overall perspective under pressure and have a pragmatic approach to challenges 
  • You have a team-oriented mindset
