Blades Cost Competitiveness Specialist

The blades Life Cycle Department is part of the Blades Module, and the team is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products lifecycle commitments. As a part of the life cycle management team in the blades module, you will play an important role in the continuous development of the module and ensuring that budgeted cost savings are met. 


You will take on the role as a technical lead and run the initial stages in the development process, where you goal will be to ensure continuous cost out pipeline is built and to reach the cost out targets. You will therefore develop initiatives in close collaboration with other sub modules and project managers, in order to ensure that this target is met. An important part of the role is therefore the ability to analyze cost and evaluate on different possibilities. 
 
Responsibilities

  • Be involved in developing innovative and cost-efficient concepts for the current blade projects
  • Drive idea generation sessions in the module teams and solidify and continue building pipeline of cost effectiveness ideas
  • Responsible for cost effectiveness release plan in alignment with functional/project leadership 
  • Develop and maintain +2 years line of sight of cost competitiveness portfolio for all configuration modules
  • Coordinate implementation of the cost out ideas in alignment with technical functional leads within different sub module and ensure project and operational milestones are known and updated
  • Prepare and direct cost effectiveness projects peer and technical reviews
  • Financial analyzing of product cost including opportunity analysis, business cases etc. to ensure that the blades module is achieving its cost competitiveness target year on year.

 
Qualifications

  • Master’s degree within a relevant engineering subject
  • Solid experience as technical lead for cost out projects or platform projects
  • Cross-function technical leadership defining scope, risks, imitations etc.
  • Experience in developing systems, process and processes towards cost out projects
  • Expertise in idea generation tools, review of business cases using standard templates 
  • Expertise in project planning using agile methodology
  • Expertise in product cost structure to enable cross-functional business to improvement/cost out projects.
