We seek a skilled and experienced Line Manager to guide our Electrical Area in the Turbine Operations Engineering department.
In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing efficient engineering teams specializing in Control Hardware and Converter & Electrical systems.
Your focus will be on maintaining excellence in performance, reliability, and technical delivery across these critical domains.

Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within VTO, you'll find our department, TOE - Electrical, as part of Turbine Operations Engineering.
Our department serves as the crucial link between the service organization and the R&D department. We are responsible for ensuring design for service by both optimizing the existing turbine fleet and providing critical input and quality assurance for new product development.
As the leader of this team, you will manage a group of highly skilled engineers, ensuring excellence in design, implementation, and support of our advanced turbine technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and deliver on the department’s performance objectives
  • Prioritize the well-being of employees by holding regular one-on-one meetings, informal check-ins, and encouraging ongoing performance improvements
  • Support and promote a growth-oriented environment where all team members work diligently with structured development plans
  • Ensure the department’s resource pool is maintained and improved in terms of both capacity and competencies
  • Play a significant role in cross-functional development initiatives both within the department and the broader organization


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering preferably in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in the wind power sector, particularly in leadership or project management positions
  • Experience in running strategic initiatives and managing global change management projects
  • A good understanding of service operations and keen business insight
  • Good written and spoken English proficiency, with the ability to communicate clearly across different levels

Additional information
The primary work location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark. We are also open to considering other locations, including Porto (Portugal), Chennai (India) and Hamburg (Germany).
Up to 20 days of travel per year.
