As a trainee at Vestas, you start on an exciting journey that will develop you and secure a solid foundation for your further career. You will be assigned a mentor who will follow you until you graduate and with whom you can spar along the way. You will also become part of a student network across the many departments we have in Denmark, where you will also come to visit.
In the first year besides learning and working in the Transport Execution Department you will be doing rotations in other relevant Departments (like Customs, Vessel planning etc) in order to get a good understanding on how things in Vestas are linked together. You will quickly get assigned task that grow in complexity and responsibility as you grow in the company
The Transport Execution department is responsible for handling the entire supply chain of our oversized turbine components from manufacturing plant to project site. As Wind turbines get bigger and bigger all of our components you will be working with are considered oversized and heavy transport which makes working in our area really exiting

Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe as well as CIS countries. We are responsible for the Project, Installation and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. We aim to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, and we aim to make Vestas North and Central Europe the best place to work.
 
Responsibilities

  • Booking and follow up on freight orders to and from projects all over Northern and Central Europe
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders like warehouses, haulers, project managers, etc.
  • Documentation creation, maintenance and handling
  • Support our Transport Specialist on various administrative tasks which could be minutes of meetings, reporting, preparation of tender documentation, etc.
  • Further down the road you will be introduces to more complex project and start having more responsibilities on project, to prepare you for future tasks/projects on your own of course with oversight from the Senior team members

 

Qualifications

  • You have finalized one of the following educations: EUX, HHX, HG2. Alternatively, HTX, STX eller HF, if you prior to April 2023 have taken a 5 week course at the Handelsskole
  • That you are familiar with Microsoft office programs
  • As a person you are positive, outgoing, committed, service-minded and thrive in a casual environment

 
Competencies

  • We expect that you can work with limited supervision and take responsibility for your tasks
  • You are able to finalise tasks and have a structured approach
  • You have great English skills, as this is the corporate language
  • Established communication skills among various stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to travel and work in different NCE Vestas locations, also for longer periods
