Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Regional Supply Chain & Transport NCE > Offshore NCE
You will become part of the Vestas region Northern and Central Europe (NCE) Transport Execution, offshore outbound main components, covering all offshore projects in the region. Within the region we handle the entire supply chain of our main turbine components from the manufacturing plant to pre-installation sites. We are responsible for transport planning and supporting with transport cost estimates on sales projects and various business cases.

Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and transport execution of wind turbine components to pre-installations sites, supported by the team members within Offshore vessel operations and transport planning. 
Integrated member of specific Offshore projects with budget accountability
You will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan and execute main component transport E2E, delivery and return of required transport tools and transport equipment etc. through or in collaboration with cross-organizational internal, and various external stakeholders
  • Supply transport related deliverables to the individual project management teams. 
  • Drive transport cost calculations and cost optimizations
  • Ensure close collaboration and relationship with regional construction in the E2E execution of the projects
  • Identify, assess, and manage transport-related risks and opportunities throughout E2E projects
  • Contribute to the overall Portfolio Master Planning (vessel planning and capacity demand)

 

Qualifications

  • Education within the Transport or Supply Chain Management area, freight forwarding, or similar with solid related experience
  • Ideally you have a commercial Project Freight Forwarding or Heavy Haulage trucking background. It is beneficial if you are familiar with chartering terms and the heavy lift/multipurpose vessel market in general
  • Solid IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) and experience with IT ERP systems preferably SAP
  • Possesses proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal, suitable for all organizational levels
  • Ability to effectively operate within a large, international diverse organization
