We in Sustainable Procurement are activating a greener future by driving carbon out in our supply chain that enables Vestas to achieve its strategic sustainability target. We are making a positive impact by ensuring that sustainability is a priority and an integrated part of our business model driving competitiveness.

Responsibilities 

  • Identify and promote sustainability partnership and alliances with suppliers
  • Create a sustainability partnership and alliances roadmap stating the roles and responsibilities and timeline of activities
  • Handle the negotiation process, including ensuring that appropriate agreements are made with suppliers (NDA, PDA, CA etc.)
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure their buy-in
  • Ensure cross-functional communication and information-sharing in Global Procurement, across regions, on the above activities


Qualifications 

  • Proven hands-on experience with defining sustainability initiatives in a procurement department - and experience with development and execution of partnership and alliance strategies
  • Relevant master's degree within supply chain, procurement, business administration or similar, with a sustainability experience
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience within strategic purchasing and holistic understanding of the full value chain
  • Commercial mindset with a solid experience in procurement of technical components
  • Good project management and innovative negotiation skills
  • Holistic and encompassing knowledge of sustainability, CSR, and generally social, environmental and governance issues

  • Thrives in a progressive environment with a positive and creative approach
  • Ability to handle change and take a pragmatic approach to potential issues
  • Good communicator and fluent in English, with the ability to handle stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Efficient collaborator with a professional attitude and demonstrate a high level of independent judgment and proactivity in the change management process
  • Great stakeholder management skills and negotiation capabilities
  • Not afraid to question the status quo and think in alternative ways

Location: The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark.
