Global IT is responsible for all IT within Vestas covering everything from strategic roadmaps, business engagement and requirements gathering to project implementation, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors and end-user support. The Global Supply Chain & Transport team is part of Global IT Solutions, Production which is responsible for the products and services related to all functions within the Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply chain area. This ranges across traditional SAP areas such as MM, PP, SD and TM but also process automation technologies and much more. The primary services relevant for this position is the o9 planning platform and SAP. Vestas is currently developing a new Supply chain planning solution supported by o9 and a landscape of SAP which is scheduled to launch later this year. 

You will be joining a team of highly capable IT specialists and architects, where everyone is relied upon to advise business in IT roadmaps. Global IT owns the architecture and needs to ensure quality and a path towards a future SAP S/4 implementation.

As a Supply Chain Architect, you will have a business facing role, helping drive roadmap discussions, while acting as a team lead for the IT team ensuring quality in everything we do. 
Your responsibilities include:

  • Engage with internal business stakeholders to understand future demands, provide inspiration and collaborate across IT capabilities to find the best solution for the future roadmap deliverables
  • Drive new implementation architecture activities from business idea to sign off, including requirement capturing, solution design and ensuring quality in execution
  • Safeguard the IT roadmap towards S/4


To fulfil the position, you would ideally have an extensive background within supply chain planning solutions. The platform selected to expand the capabilities of the planning area is o9. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:

  • Advanced supply chain planning solutions
  • Strong background in SAP
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong configuration and design skills
  • Articulate with impeccable verbal and written communication skills in Danish and English
  • Thirst for knowledge and eagerness to learn and grow skills in new areas



  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • A self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture
  • Ability to work independently managing your own deliverables
  • Highly driven and self-motivated
  • A team player willing to jump in when help is needed
