Vestas Supplier Quality and Development is part of Global Procurement. We implement Vestas winning quality culture towards the supplier with clear focus to ensure our "doing it right the first time" approach, focusing on mature suppliers. We are a culturally diverse team with global responsibility, located in Denmark, Spain, and Portugal, strongly cooperating with our regional peers who focus on executing Supplier Quality methods with suppliers in their respective region. We are the ambassadors of all quality topics with suppliers, e.g. enabling supplier innovation in new turbine development projects, thus promoting Vestas' aspirational sustainability strategy.
The department ensures quality from suppliers for Power Modules and Electricals used in Vestas' Converter assembly.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the selection, assessment, and development of suppliers and ensure the qualification of components
  • You will ensure the quality from our suppliers is up to Vestas standards
  • To conduct root cause analysis when incidents occur, and bring down Cost of Poor Quality
  • To closely collaborate with colleagues from engineering, sourcing, and logistics as well as our internal customers, the factories
  • You will handle the external stakeholders such as the suppliers, auditors and authorities conducting inspections at our suppliers
  • You will offer effective contribution, guidance, and leadership on quality topics

 
Qualifications:

  • You have an engineering or similar experience 
  • Solid work experience with demonstrated quality management and problem-solving skills can replace the need for formal education
  • 5+ years of experience within quality assurance and supplier management
  • Proficiency in applying advanced quality methodology (e.g. APQP, PPAP, process analysis, statistical studies, problem solving techniques) with APQP4Wind experience
  • Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and / or VDA 6.3 assessor
  • Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standards for EHS Management Systems is desired
  • Six Sigma Green Belt with continuous improvement and DMAIC practice

  • Fluency in English

Primary work location: Aarhus, DK
This position requires up to 40 days travel per year.
