Vestas Supplier Quality and Development is part of Global Procurement in Vestas. We implement Vestas winning quality culture towards the supplier with clear focus to ensure our "doing it right 1st time" approach focusing on mature suppliers. We are a culturally diverse team located in Denmark, Spain and Portugal, significantly linked with our regional peers. We are the ambassadors of all quality topics with suppliers, e.g. enabling supplier innovation in new turbine development projects, thus implementing Vestas' ambitious sustainability strategy.


Vestas has in August 2022 announced the transfer of its converters and controls business, which includes Vestas' three converters and control panels factories in Denmark, India and China to a strategic partner KK Wind Systems. In the course of this transaction, the factories will be integrated into the quality management system of KK Wind Systems, and from Vestas perspective need to be managed with our proven supplier qualification and development processes, as well as APQP4wind for advanced product quality planning.

You will join a team of professionals and specialists to ensure the smooth transition into a strategic partnership from a quality perspective.

•    Assessment and development of suppliers 
•    System qualification applying PPAP and APQP4wind
•    Step in on escalated NC with problem-solving experience to eliminate the root cause and driver down cost of Poor Quality (transactional clarification are supported by NC coordinators)
•    Collaborate closely with the developers, sourcing and logistics as well as our internal customers, and the factories, projects and service.
•    In addition to handling the suppliers, our external contact includes customers conducting inspections or audits at our suppliers.

•    Electrical engineering background as well as proficiency in applying advanced quality methodology. Solid working experience with demonstrated quality management and problem-solving skills can replace the need for a formal education. 
•    5 years of experience within quality assurance and supplier management and are proficient in applying advanced quality methodology (e.g. APQP, PPAP, process analysis, statistical studies, problem solving techniques) and ideally have experience with APQP4Wind
•    Internal auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and VDA 6.3 assessor
•    Experience with ISO 14001 / 45001 or similar standards for EHS Management Systems is desired
•    Six Sigma Green Belt with continuous improvement and DMAIC practice 
•    experience with stakeholder management as well as good business understanding


•    Organized with a methodical work approach and attention to details
•    Good at problem-solving and project management
•    Solid in stakeholder management, representing the SQD agenda and taking ownership
•    Collaborator and appreciates working in a cross-cultural, international environment and have solid English skills
•    A team-oriented person with skilled contribution and guidance / leadership on quality topics
•    A highly motivated, enthusiastic and service-minded and able to work without supervision
