Vestas Technology & Operations > VTO Strategy & PMO

The Vestas Technology and Operations Strategy & PMO Team plays a central role in translating Vestas' corporate strategy into clear, actionable priorities across the Technology & Operations organisation. We ensure that longterm business objectives are firmly embedded in how we innovate, industrialise, source, manufacture, and deliver our products - linking strategy to execution across the entire value chain.

 

Responsibilities  

As an Associate you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the VTO organization to ensure strategic alignment and translate strategy into action. In this versatile role, your main responsibilities can entail

  • Continuously work with the VTO Strategy and Transformation team and stakeholders - including functional leaders in VTO, transformation leaders, Finance and People & Cultiure – to drive large transformation initiatives, strategic projects, business planning and much more
  • Drive project scoping, analysis and workstreams related to VTO transformation programs
  • Support projects owned and led by individual functions (e.g., R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product Lines, Quality)
  • Help improve our Project Management Office to set direction, targets and track progress on key transformation programs and strategic initiatives across VTO
  • Drive and/or support a wide range of strategic projects incl. annual business planning, M&A projects, make/buy analysis etc.
  • Your role will in addition include project management, stakeholder engagement, analysis, problem solving and strategic communication

 

Qualifications  

To perform well in this position, we expect you to bring the following

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, political science, engineering or similar
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience from management consulting or larger organizations in a strategic role. You might also have finished a Graduate program, or similar
  • Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint. Other data analysis or visualization tools is an advantage
  • Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken)

 

Competencies  

  • Good business understanding/acumen - understands the big picture and relation between business value, strategic value, investments, costs, risks, and value chain impacts
  • Structured, zero-defect consistent approach. A strong ‘consulting toolbox’ is an advantage
  • Organized, systematic and with attention to details in datasets
  • Ability to explain complex topics in simple ways (in writing and verbally) to senior leaders
  • Self-directed working style and pride in shaping own approach and methodology with limited oversight
  • A great team member and collaborator who is flexible to support when it is needed

Additional information

This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark where our team and majority of stakeholders are located. The role requires the ability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
