Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
To ensure alignment with regional business goals, VTO operates through a Product Line organization consisting of Regional Engineering & Technology teams, led by Regional CTOs and supported by Global Functional Leads. This organization oversees technical front-end activities within regional business units, including Technical Development Solutions, Sustainable Energy Solutions, and both Onshore and Offshore Wind Power Plant Solutions and Services.
As a Specialist – Global Support Structure Excellence, you will be part of the Global Support Structure department. This global function drives strategic initiatives and ensures consistent engineering practices across Vestas’ offshore support structure teams worldwide. It is also responsible for delivering detailed support structure load analysis for all offshore projects.
In this role, you will focus on offshore support structure load analysis and act as a trusted technical expert within this domain. You will guide and support global and regional engineering teams, providing expert advice on load analysis and structural design to ensure high-quality, consistent, and reliable engineering outcomes.
Responsibilities
As a Specialist – Global Support Structure Excellence, your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as a trusted technical expert (“go-to” specialist) within site-specific offshore support structure load analysis, providing guidance and advisory support to the Global Support Structure loads team
- Support the development and deployment of tools, templates, and processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality across the Global Support Structure loads team
- Perform detailed support structure load sensitivity studies and detailed integrated load analysis, in line with project and regional requirements
- Provide timely and accurate responses to regional engineering queries, including preparing technical clarifications and supporting tender processes with deviations and justifications related to support structure load analysis
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., structural, mechanical, or civil engineering)
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in wind turbine load analysis, preferably within offshore wind projects
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
