As part of Vestas Technology & Operations, the Modelling & Analytics - Plant Data team is responsible for the creation and management of products and services related to Vestas Plant Data Offerings. Our accomplished and diverse team of Datawarehouse Engineers is focused on designing products that facilitate data collection, processing and storage from thousands of power plants across the world. The team also manages data storage and conducts data analytics on a hybrid data platform setup that supports multiple data applications for our customers.

Our overarching objective is to reduce the cost of energy by making use of the extensive data collected and stored by Vestas from power plants worldwide. Join us in this mission to help advance the future of renewable energy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with Architects, SME's, business and product stakeholders in identifying data products and workloads in legacy warehouse
  • Participate and co-own product architecture and define strategic roadmap for plant data warehouse
  • Perform upstream and downstream impact analysis of complex data flows which involved multiple source systems
  • Contribute directly to design and delivery of migrating data products from legacy to cloud setup
  • Lead key POC's & mentor team data engineers on technical solutions
  • Facilitate and contribute to formal Code & design reviews
  • Oversight and contribution to managing operational data products (Level 3 Support)

 

Qualifications

We believe that you possess experience in designing, building, and maintaining data products within hybrid environments with 5~7 years of experience in cloud data warehousing domain. Additionally, you should identify with one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Solid command of advanced SQL & ELT design patterns & data flow/ workload performance optimization
  • Experience in data workload migration from on prem to cloud ETL + Data Warehouse
  • Experience in Azure services + Snowflake + DBT
  • Extensive practical data modelling experience in cloud data warehouse and data structures
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Experience with SQL server, SSIS & SSRS would be a plus
  • Experience with data mesh implementation, Python, Py-Spark would a plus
