In a highly innovative and globalized market, Product Market Strategy sets the direction for future commercial product offerings, making sure that Vestas always has the right products to stay ahead of competitors while ensuring market access.

In everything we do, we have a commercial and customer-oriented approach. We are measured on the impact our products have on Vestas' profitability and the ability to continuously improve marketability. We are responsible for aligning the product strategy globally across our sales business units (SBUs) to support local market growth and in this considering the dynamics of the global market for renewables solutions.

You will be part of a team of 4 skilled and motivated people who are making the required commercial analyses and competitiveness assessments, that supports Vestas Onshore and Offshore new products development.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform market deep dives to identify ways of optimizing Vestas' product offering, considering market, competitor, and customer dynamics

  • Quantify the value created by new products for both the customers and Vestas, for instance in terms of LCOE/IRR/NPV improvements,

  • Derive product cost and performance targets to ensure Vestas’s profitability

  • Maintain regular engagements and alignments with key stakeholders across the organization, ensuring the robustness of your assessments and the buy-in of the organization

  • Contribute to build and prepare decision materials for the executive management and leadership teams

  • seek new ways to improve value creation and value capture

  • Improve the status quo and optimize our ways of working, develop, and improve the financial toolkit used by the team

 

Qualifications

  • You hold a master's degree in Business/Economics combined with a relevant technical education or experience

  • You must have a minimum of 4 years proven experience in product management or sales/commercial analyst within the energy industry

  • Significant knowledge with industry's product portfolio, business model, drivers, and value chain.

 

Competencies

  • You must have the ability to distil key insights from a large amount of information

  • Have a naturally curious and collaborative mindset

  • You have proven ability to work with multifunctional teams within a matrix organization

  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management experience

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

Additional information

Your work location will be in the Aarhus HQ. Please note this is a 1 year fixed term contract, with the potential opportunity to extend or move into a permanent role
