For more than a decade we've built and driven the services for monitoring all network attached equipment in Wind Power Plants. The latest years as one scrum team working by the agile methods. The team has the full responsibility for the services we deliver from operations to development, design, and strategy. Our services consist of a mix of internally built software as well as large and proven open-source solutions. We prefer to enhance the world with the Linux operating system.
The team consists of 3 persons in Aarhus and 13 persons in Manila, Philippines.

 

Responsibilities

  • You'll be supporting the development and enhancement of the monitoring and observability area, doing designs and solutions for the long term
  • Close daily and long-term collaboration with customer counterparts to ensure alignment, progress, quality, and stability
  • Work closely with developers, engineers, architects, and operations specialists to move the service forward and run the services with a high uptime and great user feedback, support in developing the most suitable technical solution to meet customer requirements, with a reusability logic
  • Manage, monitor, and ensure that all parts of the technical design are implemented, accordingly and providing input on the product roadmaps within the area ensuring architecture information is well documented, up-to-date, and communicated to the relevant stakeholders
  • Technical mentoring of team members, code reviews, reviewing PRs
  • Engage in defining and implementing a solid software and application architecture, increasing team maturity (DevOps Maturity Model)
  • You'll become an avid user of our own developed software and will be a great ambassador for the tool and what it can assist users and the organization to achieve


Qualifications

  • A formal education and degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or similar, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Knowledge within software development on the topics: requirements, agile methods (SCRUM, SAFe, DevOps, etc.) and solution design
  • At least 5 years of developer experience, using several languages - PHP Laravel & Python are primary languages

 

Competencies

  • Comprehensive communication skillset, fluent in English oral and written with a curious mindset and not afraid to ask questions
  • Proficiency in applying creative problem-solving techniques within an environment that regularly deals with diverse and evolving data sets
  • Understanding how to navigate in a large IT organization
  • Experience with both open source in general and Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) is a requirement
  • Experience with diagramming - making simple overviews over complex systems, giving contexts to complex solutions and convey these in meetings verbally with in line with the diagrams and background with diagnosing and performing problem resolution
  • Good familiarity with networking is recommended. Maybe proven with a certification 
  • Knowledge about configuration management tool Puppet and the concepts of user experience and user-friendly design of web applications is advantageous
