Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. The role is anchored within the Product Applications and Controls organization, which encompasses the IT, OT, data, and digital technology capabilities that shape the future technology roadmap for Vestas’ products.

We are seeking a Software Verification Specialist to lead and coordinate the software verification activities for solutions developed within the Software R&D organization. The role also includes responsibility for managing and aligning software requirements in close collaboration with the Release Management function.
You will join a global, cross‑functional team of approximately 40 professionals, including Project Managers, Release Managers, Test Managers, Verification Specialists, and DevOps Engineers. Together, the team collaborates closely to continuously mature and strengthen Vestas’ capabilities within software verification and release management.
The team is geographically distributed, with locations in Aarhus, Denmark and Porto, Portugal, offering a truly international and collaborative working environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for managing verification requirements and planning as well as executing verification campaigns for new software releases across the global turbine fleet. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, reliable software to our sites all over the world.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and drive the planning and execution of global fleet software verification activities
- Communicate verification progress, results, and findings to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate resources and priorities in close collaboration with line management and stakeholders across our regions
- Continuously improve verification processes through a data‑driven approach
Qualifications
- A relevant educational background in Business Development, Engineering, or a related field, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience working within software verification
- Demonstrated experience in software verification within a software development environment is preferred
- Experience with data‑driven performance management, such as defining KPIs and developing performance dashboards (e.g. Power BI), is considered an advantage
To succeed in this role, experience in several of the following areas is valued:
- Working within large, complex organizations and contributing to or driving change initiatives
- Effectively engaging with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional peer groups to gain alignment and commitment
- A solid understanding of software development, verification, and release processes
- Knowledge of and experience with DevOps practices and principles

Additional information
The primary work location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark.
