Global Siting uses this best-in-class knowledge to offer our customers the most optimized site-specific solutions. Siting Functional Excellence is a team that links innovation into the siting assessment (Wind Resource and Site suitability assessment) process. You will be a part of a highly skilled team that continuously ensures Vestas is best in class on siting assessment, working across departments to ensure high quality is implemented in the tools used in the worldwide Siting community at Vestas. The siting assessment at Vestas will cover both onshore and offshore sites, from early site development and identification to after-sales opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Being a core part of continuously developing the siting assessment in Vestas

  • Making sure up-to-date guidelines and recommendations are available for the larger Vestas Siting community

  • Provide expert solutions and knowledge for Siting engineers

  • Guide cross-functional teams in the Siting community to improve sub-areas of the siting assessment process

  • Collaboration across stakeholders in vestas to ensure innovation for the siting community

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to be on top of research and development done within the siting domain

  • Understanding the adversity and possibilities in the entire siting domain

  • Create a roadmap for getting the Vestas Siting community to the next level

 

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's in Renewable or Energy Conversion Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or similar specialization

  • At least 10+ years of experience within site suitability assessment (Wind&Site) for both Onshore and Offshore products

  • Skilled user of WASP / WindPRO / Windfarmer / OpenWind

  • Programming experience in Delphi/Matlab / Python

  • Hold knowledge of the Hybrid solutions, combinations of Wind, Solar, batteries, power2X

  • Possess effective collaboration skills

  • Fluent and clear in oral / written in English
