We are looking for a Senior Specialist for our Global Offshore Portfolio Planning team. If you are skilled at aligning diverse stakeholders, solving complex challenges, and guiding critical top‑management decisions, this role is for you!

The position as Senior Specialist in Global Offshore Planning is a key role within Supply Chain. You will have the opportunity to help develop Vestas' planning and governance on Offshore projects in close collaboration with Global Offshore Sales and Customer Project Execution. The overview you bring to the stakeholders is of high value to the organization and people will seek you input in many diverse cases on Offshore planning.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the supply input to the quarterly Demand Forecast and facilitate the process together with Global Offshore Sales
  • Own the balanced plan, ensuring sales projects are supported by a verified supply plan and that planned capacity‑expansion commitments align with customer commitments in the balanced plan.
  • Act as a key contributor to the quarterly offshore business case prepared for Executive Management
  • Manage the global process for capacity mandates and overbidding mandates for all offshore projects, in close collaboration with Sales Management
  • Ensure that the cost across the value chain is optimized based on the latest agreed capacity‑mandated projects within the global offshore portfolio
  • Support timely design for customer projects by maintaining clear project‑level dates for release to production of project‑specific purchasing, and safeguard and realign Offshore Value Chain Rules as key inputs to the Global Offshore Sales process and Finance (cash flow and revenue modelling)
  • Perform project‑specific scenario work to enable accurate production assumptions for bidding‑phase projects seeking Executive Management approval, and contribute to manufacturing footprint discussions facilitated by the Global Footprint team

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant master's degree within business administration, supply chain management or equivalent
  • 7-10 years' experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance or Commercial experience in global B2B companies
  • Experience in building business cases and senior management presentation and reporting
  • Project management experience
  • Experienced user of SAP BI and Excel
  • Today you work either as a Lead or Senior Specialist, Lead or Senior Project Manager or People Manager

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills for engaging multiple stakeholders at various levels across the organization
  • Ability to navigate between strategic and operational levels and making complex information easy to understand
  • Systematic and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Proven ability in seeking compromise and defuse conflicts of interest in complex cases

Additional information

Your work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. You are expected to work on-site from the Aarhus office on a weekly basis. You should expect approximately 15 annual travel days in this role.
