Are you ready to join our Power Solution Finance Team, being responsible for a continuously transparent tracking and improvement of Product Cost across Vestas' current and new products. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring objective and transparent information for decision makers in business and senior management

In this role you will oversee continuous Performance Management of our Product Cost with our Cross-functional Leadership teams, covering the value chain from R&D to Procurement, Transport and Manufacturing. This entails creation of transparent cost estimates, while keeping stakeholders accountable for target gaps and follow-up. In our Finance Transformation Journey our focus is to enable proactive performance management, underpinned by trusted numbers to enable better decision making and long-term value across the organization, and as senior product cost manager you will be a role model for this on our journey together. We are now looking for a person that combines working with stakeholders as a business partner with the capability to work in a structured manner with Cost Management.
Responsibilities
In this key role, your main responsibilities will be:
- Act as a trusted senior business partner to product and functional leadership across the organization, providing cost insight, challenge, advice and decision support at product and portfolio level
- Oversee Vestas' continuous tracking and executive review of product cost performance, ensuring transparency, accountability, and a clear link between cost outcomes and strategic objectives
- Encourage and support product level cost out initiatives, creating visibility on risks and mitigation strategies, setting prioritization and progress on initiatives, validating financial impact, and ensuring alignment with product strategy and long-term profitability
- Set direction and provide experienced guidance on cost performance management across the full value chain, managing design, sourcing, manufacturing, and service trade-offs
- Advance continuous improvement of cost performance tracking tools and systems, elevating data quality, insight generation, and executive decision-making capability
- Play a key role in Vestas' Finance Transformation journey, enhancing Finance's partnering capability with the business while promoting internal efficiency, standardization, and smarter ways of working across finance
Qualifications
- To meet the expectations of this role, we believe that you have the following experience:
- Relevant degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or similar discipline
- Extensive experience in product cost management, commercial finance, or business partnering roles
- Experience contributing to finance or business transformation initiatives
- Solid knowledge of product costing, performance management, or value optimization methodologies
- Proficiency in analytical tools and systems, including Excel and presentation skills

Additional information
