Manufacturing and Global Procurement > Global Procurement > External Blades

The Blades, Procurement Department is part of the overall Vestas Global Procurement Organisation. Blades procurement is responsible for the management and development of the Global supplier base within the Blades product area. The Department is split into 4 commodities with different system and materials responsibility.

The Blades procurement team consists of 26 people located in India, China, Portugal, Denmark, Brazil, Mexico, and USA. The procurement work within Vestas is managed through cross functional teams in the context of Module and Category Management.

We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) re. safety, quality, delivery and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the high quality of the Group. Guiding and moving improvement to Total Cost of Ownership is imperative.



  • Global responsible for supply chain of Blades manufacturing
  • Direct and coordinate the procurement team of External Blades
  • Direct and coordinate the cross functional team of External Blades with an End-to-end perspective
  • Stakeholder management within a matrix organization bringing the regional perspectives into the Global context
  • Maintain, Develop and direct the strategic direction of the commodity
  • Govern and structure the supplier relationship to ensure the full value of the supplier base and the integration hereof into the strategic direction of the commodity



We expect that you hold a M.Sc. in Engineering, M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant education. In addition to that we expect that:

  • You possess evident leadership skills
  • Including a demonstrated background of Strategic Procurement experience.
  • You have the communication skills to interact with Internal and External stakeholders at various levels up-to Executives

Company language is English and is as such prerequisite

Primary work location: Aarhus, DK

This position requires approximately 50 days of travel.
