Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you'll find our department, Control HW Project Management, as part of Applications, Controls & Electrical.
The Control Hardware Project Management team comprises skilled Project Managers and Planners with extensive experience and diverse backgrounds. They operate across various portfolios, including Platform, technology, and legacy projects. This department is a component of the Control Hardware organization, which is responsible for delivering turbine Hardware infrastructure encompassing Electronics, Cables, Sensors, Panels, and Power supplies. With a significant emphasis on continuous improvement, the team aims to optimize their work processes. The department combines both Technology development and Project execution aspects.

Responsibilities
Identifying, planning, and coordinating a set of related projects within programme and managing their interdependencies in support to specific business case priorities.
Typical responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Ensure a strategic perspective across all projects
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a vision for program outcomes and associated benefits, providing the framework for implementing business cases or large-scale changes
  • Ensure alignment of business requirements and translate them into operational plans
  • Determine, monitor, and review program scope, costs, and schedule, as well as program resources, interdependencies, and risks
  • Identify and anticipate risks related to time, quality, performance, resources, and realization, and implement mitigative actions to support business cases


Qualifications

  • Graduation or Master's degree in a relevant academic field, such as Engineering or Business
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in managing medium to high complexity R&D projects within a matrix organization, involving multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Ideally, possess recognized Project Management accreditation, such as PRINCE2, PMI, or similar
  • Good language skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using project management tools like MS Project and JIRA
  • Experience in delivering projects using the Stage Gate Model. (Beneficial)

Addresses complex conceptual challenges leveraging existing precedents or procedures, focusing on solutions while effectively maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Assumes a leadership role within the specialized function, fostering knowledge dissemination and innovation. Identifies, leverages, and cultivates knowledge networks to enhance organizational capabilities. Leads specialized teams or task forces, managing moderate to complex impact issues. Establishes milestones and plays a significant role in task assignment and responsibility allocation.

Additional information
Our preferred work location for this role is our office in Aarhus, Denmark. 
Up to 15 travel days per year.
