Our team is part of the Quality Management Office in VTO. We run global, highly impactful projects that are part of the wider strategic agenda directed by our Executive Management team. In this senior position, you will oversee expansive, cross-functional programs that develop Vestas’ Quality Strategy and integrate lasting improvements into processes, culture, and performance. We are now expanding our team with a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for leading initiatives end-to-end, ensuring alignment at all levels, and securing effective adoption across the organisation.

You will combine structured project management with clear change leadership to deliver solutions that improve operational excellence, reduce risk, and improve quality performance across Vestas. The main responsibilities include

  • Oversee large, complex transformation programs that span multiple functions and regions, and ensure strategic alignment by working closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Develop robust program structures, including governance, milestones, risk management, and reporting frameworks, and own program planning, scope definition, resource allocation, and financial tracking
  • Ensure a clear change management focus, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and adoption activities
  • Facilitate decision‑making forums, steering committees, and cross‑functional workshops, and promote collaboration across the value chain to ensure alignment and delivery against program goals
  • Track program performance, spot risks early, and lead mitigation and recovery efforts
  • Prepare high‑quality presentations and insights for executive stakeholders
  • Coach and guide project teams and junior PMs to ensure structured execution and continuous development

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Quality Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in project or program management in a global organisation
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional transformation programs
  • Advanced skills in project management methodologies, tools, governance structures, Quality Management Systems and operational excellence principles
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and some experience with PM tools
  • Fluency in English

Competencies

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into executable program structures
  • Credible leadership presence and stakeholder management skills with experience leading large-scale adoption efforts
  • Process mindset and detailed understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • High degree of organisational awareness and ability to navigate complex environments
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Able to bring clarity, structure, and prioritisation across diverse teams
  • Action-oriented, versatile, and able to push work forward through uncertain circumstances

What we offer

You will join a highly collaborative PMO of experienced project managers working across the global business. Our team culture is ambitious, trusting, and rooted in continuous improvement. We challenge each other, we support each other, and we believe that close partnerships - internal and external - are the foundation for successful transformation. We value professionalism, curiosity, transparency, and a commitment to delivering results that matter. You will have the opportunity to lead large, cross-functional programs that refine Vestas' Quality Strategy and embed sustainable improvements into our processes, culture, and performance.
