In Global Installation & Commissioning we aim to enable Best-in-Class Customer Project Execution across the entire Value Chain - for Onshore as well as Offshore. Our focus is on developing and implementing construction strategies and concepts for current and future wind power solutions. We prioritize safety, time, cost efficiency, and value creation by developing and launching new construction concepts, ensuring readiness and smooth implementation across our value chain while capturing lessons learned and facilitating co-development with operational and design owner stakeholders. Continuous improvement is key- we learn, adapt, and apply best practices from wind and other industries to stay ahead.
Responsibilities
In this key role your focus will be to
- Implement global continuous improvement initiatives that advance Vestas' growth while embedding Construction requirements early in product and technology development projects
- Direct our function's consulting initiatives to shape and refine product and technology projects
- Shape and evolve project methodologies for Project Launch and continuous improvement, ensuring structured, repeatable processes that accelerate operational maturity
- Lead readiness for regional product launches, aligning global standards with local execution needs to deliver effective market entry
- Engage and partner with senior stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring governance, compliance, and high-performance delivery across global and regional projects
- Manage complex risk and governance frameworks, while promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the Installation & Commissioning function
- Act as a capability builder, leveraging technical and commercial skills to guide teams, mentor colleagues, and improve organizational maturity
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, we believe that you have the following experience
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or similar technical discipline)
- 7-10 years of project management experience, including leading large-scale, cross-functional/multi-site projects with strategic impact
- Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with quality standards and assurance practices and general HSE knowledge and awareness (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA, DNVGL standards)
- Exposure to complex governance, risk management, and contractual frameworks
- Proficiency in SAP PPM, Power BI, MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English

- Demonstrated ability to act without direct authority and guide cross-functional collaboration
- Comprehensive risk management and prioritization capabilities
- The ability to build operational maturity initiatives for long-term competitiveness
- Solid understanding of supplier and contract management
- Financial acumen: For budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. You should expect some travel activity, approximately 10-20 days per year.
