Senior Project Manager – Procurement (New Product Introduction)

Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
Our department, Procurement NPI Projects - Onshore & Offshore, is responsible for the efficient planning, alignment and execution of the procurement scope within New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. We ensure that every project is delivered safely on time, with high quality and in a cost-effective manner.
The team currently consists of nine experienced and internationally diverse Project Managers, based at Vestas’ headquarters in Aarhus and our office in Porto. As we continue to grow, we look forward to welcoming new colleagues to our engaging and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include
• Leading and managing NPI projects within Procurement, in close collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing and other critical functions
• Translating Procurement strategies and tactical plans into actionable project outcomes
• Taking full ownership of all Procurement deliverables, ensuring compliance with Vestas’ governance models and maintaining clear communication with relevant stakeholders
• Delivering projects according to agreed scope and targets—prioritizing safety while effectively balancing quality, timelines, costs, resources, risks and benefits
• Securing end-to-end supply chain readiness throughout development phases, from early planning to global production ramp-up
• Managing and being accountable for Procurement budgets across your portfolio of projects
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Project Management, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in international project management, ideally within manufacturing and companies with a global supply chain
• Certification in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, IPMA C, PMP or an equivalent
• Prior experience with Procurement processes and New Product Introduction (NPI) is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, including collaboration with remote and cross-functional team members
• Experience working in a matrix organization structure

The primary work location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark.
