With our corporate strategic goal of being "the global leader in sustainable energy," we have aspirational growth targets for Vestas Service's digital products in the coming years. To achieve such targets, the Data Platform team is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic Service digitization projects within our Data Ecosystem program.


As part of the Strategic Business Architecture department, the Senior Project Manager of Data Services will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the overall scope and execution of strategic projects on the data services roadmap, in alignment with our business architects, technical teams and commercial teams
  • Formulating, prioritizing and supervising execution of large projects that create concrete, proven business value for key stakeholders
  • Establishing and maintaining comprehensive Data Platform project plans including milestones that have clear, achievable, and measurable value and are aligned with the long-term Vestas digital strategy
  • Creating structure and alignment of Data Platform project reporting and communications-both internally in the department and externally with key stakeholders
  • Working with governance design for full scale operationalization
  • Ensuring projects are implemented into the Vestas Global Operating Model


As our new Senior Project Manager, you have:

  • Solid leadership experience as a data-centric project manager, e.g. in a technology consulting role or within a digital/data department of an energy/technology/finance company
  • Proven experience working with the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to orchestrate a data-centric product roadmap involving multiple systems/platforms, with experience in both strategy and execution
  • Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principle, and the ability to strike the right balance to fit a project and business environment
  • Experience implementing best practices around: business-driven software and product requirements as well as defining decisions and alignment across business and technical teams and senior management 
  • Experience from a global environment where you shaped a holistic mind-set and the ability to work with a set of global design paradigm
  • Great spoken and written communication skills in English



  • Solid project leadership skills and ability to translate high-level requirements into action, with emphasis on creating organization/structure in a hard-working and complex global organization
  • Ability to clearly define project scope boundaries and summarize complex data business cases
  • Professional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex digital details to both business and technical leaders, using the best methods of delivery
  • Skilled in utilizing data to make good decisions when confronted by ambiguity, as you will evaluate KPIs to identify, size and prioritize improvement opportunities
  • A true team player with an ability to develop long-term relationships across the organization, including within corporate functions and lines to business

Additional information
You will be based in one of our offices from Aarhus or Copenhagen in Denmark, or in Hamburg, Germany. For this position you can expect 30 travel days per year.
