The Global People Services group for Vestas North Central Europe is looking for a proven people leader to guide our Danish and German payroll teams into the next stage of our global payroll transformation. Our current Sr Payroll Manager will be transitioning to our Global Payroll & Time project, and we need a strong individual to partner in a smooth transition for the team and the business.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Partner with outgoing Sr Payroll Manager to understand current and future system and payroll design
  • Partner directly with our NCE Payroll Manager and our other regional payroll managers to create aligned global payroll processes
  • Work directly with our Director of Global Payroll to rollout new Time & Pay initiatives which includes an ongoing transition from SAP Payroll to ADP GlobalView
  • Collaborate with our NCE Service Desk Manager to transfer tier one payroll knowledge to the team to support in answering employee and manager payroll queries to create best in class employee experience
  • Ensure clear, proactive communication with upper management, Stakeholders (People Leaders and Workers Council Representatives), P&C Business Partners, and other members of the Global People Services group on issues and changes that affect the team and overall employee experience
  • Ensure the SOX controls and business continuity efforts are adhered to and lead internal and external audits
  • Develop skilled professionals who can move onto other People & Culture roles or roles within the business

 

Qualifications

  • Experience working across cultures in a global enterprise
  • Good process management skills
  • Great project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Solid communication skills, ability and willingness to exercise initiative

 
Competencies

  • Clear communication skills, ability, and willingness to exercise initiative
  • Language: Required: English (Advanced written and verbal skills), Preferred: Danish or German
  • Ability to guide, coach and motivate organization effectively
  • Ability to be innovative in a progressive, deadline focused, changing environment
  • Ability to work with people at all levels in the organization
