Digital Solutions in Vestas drives end-to-end digitalization within Vestas. You will help improve IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into our offering, improve the digital user experience and support our core processes across the value chain.
Your DevOps team, Enterprise services reside within the Core Infrastructure & Network (CIN) Product area - a part of the Digital Solutions area.
CIN is responsible for designing, developing & operating network infrastructure services and security while ensuring enhancements throughout the lifecycle of platforms and services. The area is responsible for WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, Data Center , Cloud networking, and all the supporting systems associated.

CIN aims to provide seamless and secure global network services, even ahead of business needs. We have adopted an API-first approach, hiding complexity from our consumers. CI/CD and similar DevOps tools are integral to us and self-service for our end-users is a must in a constantly growing environment.


Responsibilities

  • You will bring your deep knowledge of software development, application design and monitoring working with development governance, architecture, implementations and the ongoing maturing of existing platforms and services.
  • Continuing development of our automation platform,  built on Python and Angular2. It implements business logic and orchestrates 10+ backends including NetBox as source-of-truth. 
  • These systems are developed in tandem with our evolving network, and you will act as the maintainer of these internal open-source projects, accepting PRs from outside contributors as well as peers.
  • The other main area is network- and application monitoring, based on opensource and developed components. We monitor 5000+ devices in 600+ sites, so both automation and monitoring are crucial to scale.

 

 
Qualifications 

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering, science or related and experience working with development and support of large networks
  • 5-7 years' experience in similar job working with Python and or TypeScript/Angular
  • Relevant software development certifications as an alternative to formal education
  • High degree of experience as a backend, frontend, or full stack developer
  • Experience with some of the following is a clear plusis useful: Networking space, you could be certified CCNA, CCNP or similar, Golang, C#, Vue, OpenAPI, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jinja2, Influx, ClickHouse, Kafka or Redis
