Offshore Construction Sales Management - Floating is a sub-department in Vestas Global Construction Management area. The primary function of  this sub-department is to develop the construction framework and governance for Construction Sales and maintain the structure around the floating offshore wind segment in Vestas,- by supporting the early customer/supplier engagements, bidding and negotiations of contracts in partnership with the Sales Regions and Global Deal Support teams. We are looking for Senior Construction Floating Advisor - specialist, who would be actively guiding the sales process in both the tender and negotiation phase on specific opportunities,together with the Senior Sales Management team and Lead Developer for Floating Projects/Activities, and supporting the Regions in such activities - with the Regional Sales team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support Vestas Sales Regions with expertise in relation to construction, execution and operational-related matters needed for Floating Offshore Wind projects

  • Assure - together with the Regional Sales team - that the negotiated Turbine Supply Agreement is in accordance with legal requirements and Vestas construction/technical mandate

  • Support the floating offshore community of interest across the organization together with the Senior Sales Management for Floating 

  • Be first point of Global contact for Construction-related issues and responsible for reaching out to Global Construction management

  • Maintain overview of major construction risks during sales phase

  • Supervise and coordinate the construction scope with relevant functional areas within Construction and implement lessons learned from previous Floating Construction Projects

  • Handle project specific implementation of new products and solutions together with the relevant Technical Departments

  • Support business improvement initiatives to ensure innovative & value adding solutions

  • Support continuous development of internal sales processes, contractual framework, risk management, and construction concepts etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Preferrably Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering with relevant courses in communication/sales/negotiation techniques

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, - proven sales, negotiation and project management experience - for instance within onshore/offshore wind energy, power plants, oil&gas or the construction industry

  • Experience with Yellow FIDIC book

  • Experience with Risk Management processes

  • Experience with being involved on a commercial side in negotiations of large complex projects 

  • High understanding of the aspects relating to the execution of an Offshore Construction Projects, Service Operations and will be required to translate this knowledge into a contractual context

  • General HSE knowledge and awareness of QA/QC processes

  • Fluent in English

  • Be aware of cultural sensitivity to engage with the Regions and customers globally

  • Be able to support friendly working environment among colleagues, even when in a time-sensitive situation

Additional information

You will be working in the one of our offices in the chosen locations: Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, UK.

 

We are open for candidates from all over the world, who are willing to relocate to one of above location.

 

Expected travelling days: from 30 to 50 days per year.
