Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) serves as the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, covering the full industrial value chain—from Research & Development, Procurement, and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality.
The Plant Engineering Offshore team provides technical leadership and specialized expertise in SCADA systems across offshore wind project execution. The team plays a central role in driving and coordinating key engineering activities, including system design, configuration, and integration across SCADA, network, and cybersecurity domains.
Working at the intersection of multiple disciplines, the team ensures alignment between internal project teams, external partners, and technical stakeholders to support the delivery of complex offshore solutions. Through effective interface management and informed technical decision-making, the department contributes to the successful execution of construction-phase activities, including testing and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical activities across the SCADA project scope, including system design, configuration, testing, and commissioning
- Contribute to early-stage design discussions for future project phases and the development of new SCADA systems
- Manage key technical interfaces, including communication protocols, signal exchange, redundancy concepts, and system integration
- Provide technical leadership across SCADA, network engineering, and cybersecurity domains.
- Ensure effective application of lessons learned from previous projects to improve delivery scalability and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including OFS specialists, project teams, and external partners, to ensure aligned execution
Qualifications
- Demostarted experience in a Technical Lead or Project Management role within complex engineering environments
- Deep understanding of SCADA systems and system architecture design
- Experience in cybersecurity and network engineering, preferably within industrial or energy-related projects
- Demonstrated ability to work on projects with varying levels of complexity and evolving technical solutions
- Experience delivering large-scale and/or multi-phase projects
Competencies
- Technical leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional engineering activities
- Proven capability to assess and manage technical complexity in large-scale or multifaceted projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement across teams and partners
- Ability to translate project requirements into structured technical solutions and execution plans
- High level of adaptability and resilience in dynamic and evolving project environments
