Vestas Technology & Operations > Technical Sales Management North & Central Europe (NCE) Onshore
The Technical Sales Management NCE Onshore department serves as the technical backbone of the Sales organization, effectively bridging commercial ambition with engineering feasibility and organizational readiness.
Within this structure, the SCADA Project Management team plays a pivotal role across the full lifecycle of wind power plant projects—from early-stage sales support through construction, commissioning, and into service operations. The team works with a diverse customer base, primarily consisting of large utilities and professional investors managing complex, high-value energy assets, where SCADA performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance are essential.
This role operates at the intersection of technology, commercial decision-making, and project delivery. You will collaborate closely with customers, grid operators, internal execution teams, and R&D to ensure that SCADA solutions are not only technically robust but also commercially competitive, compliant, and scalable across various regional and regulatory environments.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end SCADA solution for wind power plant projects, ensuring clear definition, execution, and successful delivery
- Act as the SCADA technical lead across the full project lifecycle, from sales support through construction, commissioning, and handover to service
- Support sales and customer engagements by providing technical expertise and ensuring solutions are aligned with customer needs and contract requirements
- Lead and coordinate SCADA execution activities, ensuring delivery is on time, within scope, and meets quality standards
- Ensure installation, integration, and commissioning of SCADA systems in collaboration with site teams and key stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, service, R&D, customers, and grid operators to ensure compliant and optimized solutions
- Proactively identify risks, drive continuous improvements, and contribute to the development of SCADA best practices and standards
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Electrical, Control Systems, SCADA, Computer Science, or similar)
- Experience as a SCADA Engineer with project management exposure or a Project Manager with SCADA expertise in power/energy environments
- Good understanding of power systems and electrical infrastructure, including high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and STATCOM systems
- Experience within the wind energy sector or industrial power generation environments is advantageous but not essential, including exposure to power plant controllers, PLCs, servers, and communication protocols
- Good understanding of cyber security principles in industrial control or SCADA systems (e.g., risk awareness, regulatory considerations, and secure system design) is an advantage
Competencies
- Good project leadership skills, with the ability to delegate effectively, coach team members, and promote an inclusive working environment
- Confident in managing technical and commercial risks within complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights
- Proven ability to collaborate across international and multidisciplinary teams and build strong stakeholder relationships
- Structured and proactive problem-solving mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
- Customer-focused and results-driven, able to work with a high degree of autonomy; fluent in English (written and spoken)
- A valid driver’s license (beneficial)
