SAP BTP Specialist

Innovation platform & services aims to partner across the organization to help product and platform teams providing best of the breed applications and extension services on top of our core platforms like SAP ERP. We are enabler to provide technical platform, governance, tools, technology, and framework for application and extension development.

Innovation platform & services is part of Vestas' newly established Digital Solutions organization responsible for driving end-to-end digitalization of Vestas over the coming years. As part of the Products and Platform Area, we manage the BTP platform and co-build with product delivery teams within and beyond Digital Solutions to enable digitalization with best of the breed applications and APIs using modern architecture and technology frameworks. You will be responsible for architecture, design, development, and maintenance of core services of BTP Platform and application on the platform.

Resposibilities

We are seeking a skilled and motivated in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) architect with a blend of platform architecture and hands-on experience in design and building applications on BTP technology. As a key member of our BTP technology team, you will play a crucial role in architecture, design, development, and maintenance of core platform services from BTP Platform. 

• Design and architect core platform services of BTP platform by implementing governance, standards, and best practices along with developing comprehensive architecture blueprints.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP BTP features, functionalities, and best practices.
• Lead the implementation of SAP BTP solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Optimize the performance of SAP BTP solutions through continuous monitoring, analysis, and fine-tuning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP BTP components.
• Establish and enforce security best practices for SAP BTP solutions and ensure compliance and regulatory standards.
• Work closely with SAP consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve platform objectives.

Qualifications 

To succeed with above responsibilities, we envision that you hold a relevant bachelor's or masters´ degree (IT, Technology, Engineering, Science, Business Organization or similar) combined with the following:

• Proven experience as architect or similar in SAP technology domain with knowledge of SAP BTP ecosystem and service offering.
• Knowledge of BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite and SAP Mobile Services, HANA cloud, Build work zone etc.
• Understanding of BTP security and authorization concepts, platform architecture, core service offerings with focus to enable consumers of the platform.
• Good knowledge of platform technologies like cloud foundry and experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
• Knowledge of E2E application architecture - frontend, backend, API/integration in BTP technology domain.
• Good understanding of BTP technologies ex. SAP cloud application programming model, CDS or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Moreover, we envision that you can fulfill some of the following points:

• Previous experience working in a product-oriented digital department.
