North & Central Europe is Vestas' largest region globally and within our Service Supply Chain, Repair, and Tools organization we are looking for a capable and motivated Lead Specialist (Senior Manager) to help manage our supply chain risks, our warehouse setup and drive our operational optimization.
Reporting directly to the Head of Service Supply Chain, Repair, and Tools for Northern and Central Europe you will play a critical role in driving the performance of the supply chain. Furthermore, in this Senior Manager level position you will become a part of the Northern and Central European Service Supply Chain and Tools Management Group and work in a team of highly skilled and motivated business leaders on manager, senior manager and director level.
Responsibilities
As Risk and Operations Optimization Lead Specialist you will among other things be responsible for:
- Risk management across the supply chain functions
- Identifying and creating a plan for optimizing our operational setup within NCE Supply Chain
- Building a close collaboration with finance to ensure operational cost control
- Managing the plans and associated projects through line organization to ultimately deliver targeted operational optimizations
- Governing a scalable warehouse network setup within operations to ensure ongoing cost avoidance
Qualifications
To be qualified for this role, you ideally have:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in general business management, logistics, supply chain management, engineering or a related field
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- A pragmatic, structured, and fact-based approach to your work
- The ability to identify improvement areas and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with stakeholder management on a managerial level
- Experience in performance and project management
- English language skills at negotiation level
