Release Manager

Vestas have invested heavily in transforming the IT organisation, to ensure smooth delivery of the enterprise platforms across the business. That’s where you come in! We are looking for a Release Management specialist, who will help drive the modernisation of our release management functions ensuring that we have multi-pace release management capabilities.


Responsibilities 

  • In collaboration with platform architects, you are responsible for implementing and managing release and test processes through development, quality, and production environments
  • You will drive improvements to the software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, testing, deploying, and updating software and environments 
  • Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for upcoming release of systems which includes SAP and Non SAP Applications
  • You will ensure alignment on the transition of deliverables from projects to operations, which includes Technical Go-Live and User Go-Live
  • Ensure the correct tooling for release management, including change impact analysis, roll-back and CI/CD capabilities
  • Actively seek, evaluate, and apply latest trends within release management
  • Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for the upcoming release of new systems

 

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and Engineering is preferred
  • Experience with release management for enterprise platforms and devops
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Release Engineer, alongside c.3 years’ experience as a Release Manager.
  • Extensive experience with software release engineering/management and a proven track record delivering solutions. 
  • Demonstrable technical leadership experience

 

Experience with one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: 

  • QA management 
  • Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Solution Manager, Jenkins
  • SAP or other similar platforms
