Portfolio- & Project Management is anchored in Quality Improvements & Processes in Vestas Power Solutions. Vestas Power Solutions, which is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested, and improved. To put in short, Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas - we are shaping the future of modern energy. A key in our department is to deliver world-class portfolio management, moreover we also provide Project Managers for business improvement projects in Vestas Power Solutions. Our portfolio includes for example digital transformation and lifecycle management projects. The projects are linked to programmes whose main purpose is to deliver business capabilities and thereby directly support the sustainable energies solutions of tomorrow.

Responsibilities 

  • Organise, budget, plan and carry out projects. You will in general be responsible for 2-3 projects at the time and projects run for 1-2 years
  • Set up an effective organisation and governance of your projects
  • Interface and communicate with stakeholders in the entire value chain
  • Work closely together with the Programme Owner, Portfolio Management, and other Project Manager, Leads and Coordinators in your projects
  • Ensure delivery within time, quality, and cost targets - including change management
  • Contribute to developing project maturity and implementing new processes and portfolio overview

 

Qualifications

  • A degree within Engineering, IT, Technology Management, or similar relevant educational background 
  • Approximately 2-3 years of project management experience
  • Experience with integrated projects in a matrix organisation
  • Complex stakeholder management experience and solid business understanding
  • Experience with software development and change management is desirable 
  • Proven experience in a stage-gate model project delivery and project management accreditation (Prince2, PMI, IPMA or similar)

  • Solid communication skills with a good ability to target the relevant audience at the right time 
  • Leadership skills - be organised and disciplined in implementing projects
  • Be willing to change and understand the broader perspectives 
  • Able to think ahead and be an outgoing team-oriented person
  • Be proficient in English verbally and written

Additional information 
Your primary work location will be Vestas’ headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect up to 5-10 days of travel per year.
