Global Offshore Operations plays a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of service solutions for the Vestas Offshore fleet. Our qualified team collaborates closely with colleagues in Research & Development (R&D) and service regions worldwide to ensure the highest standards of service delivery. We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team. This role is fundamental in executing development projects for Global Service Offshore, managing large complex service development projects for new turbines and for minor service-related projects within Global Offshore Service Operations. 
 

Responsibilities 
The Project Manager will oversee the development and implementation of service solutions for wind turbines. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of maintenance and service projects. 
Key responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Responsible for managing new product development for Service Deliveries. Run small projects, for instance related to the Service Roadmap, improvement initiatives etc
  • Process improvements: Support development and improvement of internal and cross-functional processes
  • Component Obsolescence: Support the obsolescence of components across all offshore platforms, ensuring timely replacements and updates
  • Service Requirements: Support to identify and address service requirements for all offshore platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Service Cost Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize service costs, ensuring efficient distribution and utilization of resources
  • Risk Management: Administer and enhance the Risk Management System, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure operational safety and efficiency

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in large scale project management, service optimization, process improvement, quality assurance, and risk management 
  • Advanced analytical skills and able to navigate in a complex engineering environment
  • Experience from the wind, or adjacent, industries such as aviation, oil & gas, or heavy machinery 
  • Basic understanding of wind turbine technology, systems, and maintenance practices is helpful
  • Experience with project management software such as MS Project
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is a merit

  • Proficiency in analysing data to make informed decisions
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget constraints
  • Able to guide and motivate cross-functional teams and to manage time and resources efficiently
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively amid changing demands
  • Well-developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Additional information 
The primary work location is Aarhus, Denmark. This position requires approximately 20 days of travel, mainly within Europe. Applications are handled on an ongoing basis.
