Vestas Technology & Operations is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested and improved. Continuous Improvement Management CIM is a department within Power Solutions. Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) is a function that operates across Vestas' value chain including external suppliers and partners, global multi-disciplined and cross-functional projects primarily related to product improvement.
CIM Tower & Powertrain is a group of Engineers and Project Managers working with issues related to Towers and the Powertrain in Vestas Turbines. We are seated in Aarhus, Ringkøbing, Porto and Chennai, however we have focus on working as a team.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities required as Project Manager in Group CIM Tower & Powertrain your key responsibilities and tasks will be:
- Taking ownership of and organizing, planning and implementing technical projects with a high level of complexity
- Interfacing and communicating with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
- Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with the VWS Business Units and within VPS
- Initiating and driving corrective actions for changes in turbine design aimed at addressing faults and improving turbine performance
- Managing technical projects of different level of complexity in the Tower and Powertrain area
- Managing your stakeholders efficiently by building and maintaining relations
- You will work closely with Sales Business Units, Production Business Units, Construction, Transportation, Service organizations and all VPS departments to carry out all tasks above
Qualifications
The most important thing is that you know how a wind turbine functions and understand project management of a complex technical nature.
Essential criteria for effective performance in this role include:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience from the wind industry
- Are persistent and open with the ability to decide and execute independently
- Hold a project management certification such as Prince 2, PMI or equivalent
- High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Management and Continuous Improvement Management
Competencies
- Are committed and flexible with the ability to decide and implement freely
- The ability to work in a time-sensitive situation with a pragmatic approach- Being a convincing communicator who knows how to motivate project teams is key to the success of this role
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
- The ability to handle multiple projects and activities simultaneously

Additional information
Your primary work location will be at Vestas headquarters in Aarhus.
You can expect 5-10 travel days/year is expected.
