Region NCE and Global Offshore > Global Offshore Service Operations > Main Component Exchange
The Main Component Exchange department is responsible for ensuring a high-quality customer experience when completing main component exchange projects for our customers, supporting service sites in executing special campaigns and internal project support within department.
The department is part of the Offshore Service organization in the Vestas NCE Region. Here you become part of a focused team of more than 500 colleagues who consistently deliver Offshore Services to our trusted customers. This includes everything from strategy work, operational improvement, Health & Safety, technical case handling to delivering the services on the wind turbines offshore.
Responsibilities
In this key role, you are accountable for leading a designated projects within a assigned cluster, ensuring safe, timely, and high quality delivery.
Your responsibilities include:
• End to end project and cluster leadership, ensuring delivery within time, budget, quality, and HSE requirements, while establishing and managing the project organization and securing appropriate resourcing with the Head of Department
• Full ownership of core project management disciplines, including financial management, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, risk and governance frameworks, reporting, procurement, and communication
• Ensuring offshore readiness and operational excellence, aligning global standards with local execution to enable safe, efficient, and effective offshore campaigns across the cluster
• Acting as an ambassador for Vestas and Offshore Service, encouraging collaboration, compliance, and consistent performance with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and cross functional teams
• Building organizational capability, mentoring colleagues, promoting knowledge sharing, and enhancing technical, contractual, and commercial maturity across the project and cluster
Qualifications
To perform well in this role, we expect demonstrated ownership and accountability, paired with the ability to maintain a holistic, end to end project view. We believe the following experience and qualifications are essential:
- A relevant engineering or business degree, such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline
- 3-5 years of solid project management experience, including leadership of large scale, cross functional and multi site projects with strategic impact-showcasing clear accountability for outcomes and complex stakeholder landscapes
- Proficiency with established project management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent frameworks
- Working knowledge of quality assurance and HSE standards, including familiarity with frameworks such as WTSR, CDM, and other relevant safety and compliance principles
- Exposure to governance structures, risk management processes, and contractual frameworks, demonstrating the ability to make informed decisions and take accountable ownership of risks and mitigations
- Solid system and analytical skills, with proficiency in SAP PPM, Power BI, MS Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and with authority across all organizational level
Competencies
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills, able to create alignment, earn trust, and nurture productive relationships among a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated capability to operate effectively without direct authority, coordinating cross functional collaboration and ensuring progress by securing stakeholder buy in, ownership, and accountability
- Solid risk management and prioritization skills, allowing for early identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks while staying focused on key value drivers
- Ability to design and implement operational maturity initiatives that improve processes, boost performance, and enhance long-term organizational competitiveness
- Robust understanding of offshore vessel operations, including customer interface management and contractual obligations to ensure compliant, reliable, and commercially sound execution
- Solid financial acumen, covering budgeting, cost control, and forecasting to support accountable and transparent project and cluster performance

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark but could also be located at another office such as Copenhagen or Warrington.
