Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
The Control Hardware Project Management department is a diverse team of highly experienced Project Managers and Planners, working across platform, technology, and legacy portfolios.
As part of the broader Control Hardware organization, we are responsible for delivering the turbine’s low-voltage electrical hardware infrastructure, including electronics, cables, sensors, panels, and power supplies.
Our department combines both technology development and project execution, with a strategic focus on continuous improvement and optimizing the way we work.
Responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include:
- Deliver the agreed project scope within defined tolerances for time, cost, quality, scope, risks, and benefits
- Plan, manage, execute, and control projects in accordance with Vestas Governance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders
- Drive alignment across the value chain by engaging with a broad range of project stakeholders
- Establish an effective project organization with strong governance, demonstrating leadership throughout all phases of the project
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks to ensure successful outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering or Business)
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience managing medium- to high-complexity R&D projects within a matrix organization, working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Recognized project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, or similar)
- Good command of English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA
- Experience with Stage-Gate model project delivery is beneficial

The primary work location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 20 days of travel per year.
