With our corporate strategic goal of being "the global leader in sustainable energy," we have future thinking growth targets for Vestas Service's digital products in the coming years. To achieve such targets, the Data Platform team is seeking a Data Services Project Manager to lead strategic a strategic Data Services project within our Data Ecosystem program.
The ideal candidate for this role has great project management and stakeholder management skills and a proven previous experience of delivering results in highly complex cross-functional digital projects.


As Data Services Project Manager, you will be responsible for all project management activities required by the Portfolio Planning cycle, including project initiation, planning, prioritizing, preparation, and execution steps, as defined by the PMO.
Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Full project management ownership including scope/timeline/budget, including investments, governance, milestones, risks, dependencies, and communications.
  • Maintain comprehensive project plans including milestones that have clear, achievable, and measurable value and align with the overall Data Ecosystem program



  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Services project manager, delivering APIs or working with large data sets, e.g. in a technology consulting role or within a digital/data department of an energy/technology/finance company. 
  • Experience in directing decision-making and alignment across business and technical teams involving a mix of internal and external resources and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with large digital project organizations - e.g. scaled agile or global/distributed team setup. 
  • Solid oral and written communication skills (English).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or Management / IT Leadership education is a bonus.
  • Experience in organizational business transformation and change management activities is advantageous.



  • Solid project management skills and ability to operate with a high level of organization/structure in an ever-growing environment
  • Ability to implement best practices involving communicating project scope, tracking/updating status, budgeting, timeline tracking, risk management
  • Good meeting facilitation skills and management of diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to clearly define project scope boundaries and summarize complex data business cases
  • Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey complex digital program details to both business and technical leaders, using the best methods of delivery.
  • Ability to develop friendly relationships across the organization, including within corporate functions and lines of business.

Additional information
The position is located in our office in Denmark, Aarhus N, Hedeager 42. There is limited traveling anticipated in this role.
