If you are motivated to contribute to a better future through sustainable energy solutions and deliver high-quality it-services, you may be the right person to supervise our team of highly skilled and committed people!

Global IT > User Productivity & Digital Foundation > Cloud Services & Core Infrastructure

As a Product Owner for the Vestas Wind Power Plant Services (WPPS), you will work with our qualified and innovative DevOps team of currently 16 people to deliver a range of services to the Vestas Service Business that is key to make everyday life easier for our Service personnel and to heighten the quality of the operation of the Wind Power Plant (WPP) infrastructure. This way you work with IT/OT tools across the Vestas IT, Product development and our Service organization - close to the business and customers.

We seek a highly motivated Product Owner for WPPS who desires to actively contribute and, with our key stakeholders, develop our Services even further and unlock potential in new areas vital for our Vestas Business.

You will be part of the Cloud Services & Core Infrastructure department which belongs to the User Productivity & Digital foundation (UPDF) area within Global IT.

In your position as a Product Owner for WPPS, your primary responsibility will be to:

  • Secure that requirements from key stakeholders are supervised as input to the roadmap.
  • Develop the product roadmap for WPPS and ensure that team members as well as relevant business stakeholders understand and commit to it.
  • Supervise and prioritize the WPPS backlog based on value, roadmap, and strategy.
  • Remove, address, or escalate impediments to team progress, including protecting the team from organizational distractions.
  • Monitor and suggest adjustments to delivery capacity/resources based on demand (current and future).
  • Oversee performance, scalability, investment plans and roadmaps of WPPS to achieve agreed SLAs and goals.
  • Review and confirm the quality/output of WPPS, in collaboration with relevant business or technology stakeholders.
  • Communicate with and supervise relevant stakeholders.
  • Define and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives together with the team.

  • Experience with Open Source, which most of our services are built upon, like Linux, Puppet and Icinga.
  • Experience with OT, automation, and other relevant traditional infrastructure.
  • Experience in innovating and coaching global teams using agile delivery methods (Scrum, KANBAN, SAFe, DevOps or other relevant methodologies).
  •  "Voice of the customer" and ability to build good working relationships with the business and relevant key business stakeholders.
  • Understanding business value and ability to translate/prioritize business demand into requirements (in collaboration with architects and DevOps engineers).
  • Experience in creating and communicating product roadmaps and visions.

Working in as a Product Owner for WPPS requires leadership skills for running the team and a good understanding of on-prem datacenter technologies, as well as the OT area as many Infrastructure tasks in the WPPs integrate with on-prem solutions.

  • Confident in taking decisions without having all the facts on the table, and an ability to engage with the team to create a common understanding of the team's goals.
  • An open-minded and curious person with good communication skills combined with an innovative and problem-solving approach to implement tasks.
  • Good cooperative and organisation skills suitable for a global organization/team with large personal, professional, and cultural diversity.
  • A team-oriented person who shows a focused approach to the tasks at hand and wants to ensure that the team can work effectively.
  • Ability to take ownership and effectively engage in various continuous improvement initiatives within a broader perspective.
