Product Market Strategy has a global reach into our sales regions, including Technical Sales Management who has the responsibility for technical sales and bid management.

We are responsible for aligning the product strategy globally across our sales business units (SBUs) to support local market success and in this taking into account the dynamics of the global market for renewables solutions. In order to direct the products through the value chain and all the way to the market, Product Market Strategy cooperates with many stakeholders across Vestas.

Responsibilities

You will be part of the Value Management Team with a responsibility of directing 360 commercial value optimization and value capture in Product Market Strategy in close collaboration with our SBUs, Regional CTOs and Global Development team in the regions. Your key contribution is to identify market driven P&L optimization opportunities supporting our deployment of approved roadmap projects, including deployment in Development Projects.

By having a solid understanding of customers' business case drivers, sound market knowledge as well as a solid technical understanding of wind turbines and siting, you will:

  • Direct optimization evaluation and build new recommendations which can be used to further improve commercial marketability
  • Assess recommendations in terms of commercial attractiveness for customers and value to Vestas
  • Prepare relevant material for executive decision makers
  • Across these responsibilities, you will be exposed to and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders covering SBUs, Regional CTOs, Global finance, Engineering and Cost Management functions as well as other functions in Product Market Strategy

 

Qualifications

  • You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. or an MBA - either in Engineering combined with a commercial education or relevant commercial experience - or in Business/Economics combined with a technical education or relevant technical experience
  • You have solid experience within either the wind industry, B2B product management or the financial industry with an electricity focus (electricity trading, origination, PPA structuring)
  • Understanding of a similar industry's product portfolio, business model, business drivers, and value chain is desirable
  • You possess great communication skills, and are fluent in English, written and spoken

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Vestas’ headquarter in Aarhus, Denmark.
You can expect up to 25 days of travel per year.
