Vestas Data Platform, part of Vestas Digital Solutions, is responsible for the capabilities to deliver a best-in-class data platform. We are an ambitious and highly motivated team ready to support our digital data journey.

 

Responsibilities

As a product area architect you will become a thought leader in a rapid growing environment centered around data. In this newly established function, you will become part of driving and owning the technology roadmap in the product area Data Foundation that serves all business functions in Vestas with data. In this product area you will be involved in working with key product teams working with enterprise domains, data marketplace and data and ML workbenches.

Key activities:

  • Ensure that the product teams' architecture is aligned
  • Prepare the leadership alignment on overall architecture roadmap
  • Align coding standards in the product team and within the data platform area
  • Create standards, guiderails, and definitions
  • Align technical decisions on the data platform area

 

Qualifications

Overall, we value a combination of technical expertise, hands-on experience, good communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving data technologies and requirements within Vestas.  

  • 5+ year's experience working with data architecture, data engineering, data consulting or similar
  • Streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Proficiency in working with various database technologies, including relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Postgres, DWC), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Report and visualization tool stack including technologies like Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Understanding of ML & AI technologies (e.g. DataBricks, Snowflake and/or Dataiku)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies, such as SAP BW/HANA, Snowflake, Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric is good to have
  • You are excited for bringing data to live and an eagerness to translate business requirement into a physical product
