Our key responsibilities include:
• Leading and co-leading cross-functional module teams
• Developing and implementing module strategies
• Driving negotiations and value creation initiatives
• Managing supplier accounts and long-term partnerships
The Direct Materials Procurement department operates within a global matrix organization and oversees the procurement of all direct materials that support Vestas’ worldwide product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Global Commodity Strategy to ensure an optimal procurement setup for Main Bearings, Generators, and Lubrication Systems
- Lead supplier negotiations to secure the best commercial terms and long-term value for Vestas
- Manage procurement activities within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational areas — including costing, new product introductions, and supplier performance
- Oversee supplier lifecycle management, including selection, qualification, contracting, and relationship management, supported by clear account plans and strategies
- Drive supplier consolidation and supply chain optimization initiatives to achieve total landed cost efficiency and strategic alignment
- Act as Procurement Lead on cross-functional projects and cost-out programs, collaborating closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams
- Ensure timely delivery of all procurement deliverables for new product introductions and manage contracts such as NDAs, Purchase Agreements, and Price Agreements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar procurement or sourcing role
- Demonstrated experience in leading negotiations and developing procurement commodity strategies
- Proven track record of managing complex commodities or high-value spend categories
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and align with multiple stakeholders across functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP and SAP Ariba is beneficial
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal

The primary work location for this position is Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 25 days of travel per year.
