Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct, and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

  • Developing the long-term strategic direction and vision for the Covers & Weldments commodities. Provide clear leadership, and personal and professional development support for the purchasers in your team
  • Build a close relationship with key suppliers in the commodity and continue to deliver value through long-term supplier account management and partnerships
  • Secure the team is an integral part of module teams
  • Build and define the future supply base for service within the Commodities in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Matrix Regional organization on the Strategy Execution
  • Align internally with both C-Level and Modules in relation to strategies and cooperation with Suppliers

 

Qualifications

As a Manager you are expected to show the great example and challenge the organization in our ways of working:

  • 7+ years of experience with strategic procurementExperience in leading a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • Experience with handling large yearly procurement budgets (+200MEUR)
  • Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Proven record of strong stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication. As the category has a high attention among senior management, world class stakeholder management skills are required
  • We welcome industry relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark. The role includes up to 30 days of international travel yearly.
