At Vestas, our Global Procurement team is essential for advancing sustainable practices globally. Our team specializes in strategic sourcing, carefully selects high-quality suppliers, negotiates significant contracts, and guarantees efficient product and service delivery worldwide—from manufacturing facilities to job sites.
You can expect to be working in one of the following departments. We will assign you according to your experience and suitability for the role:
- Direct Procurement – Strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost optimization
- Handles procurement of core materials and components directly linked to turbine production and construction.
- Indirect Procurement – Operational efficiency, service contracts, facility management
- Manages procurement of goods and services not directly tied to production, such as IT, consulting, and office supplies.
- Service Procurement – Aftermarket support, spare parts, service agreements
- Focuses on sourcing for service operations, including maintenance, repairs, and long-term service contracts.
- Procurement Excellence – Process optimization, digital tools, performance analytics
- Implements continuous improvement through data-driven insights, standardized processes, and procurement innovation.
- Global Procurement Program Management – Project coordination of New Product Introduction, stakeholder alignment, strategic initiatives.
Responsbilities
As an intern in Global Procurement, you’ll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. Your journey will be tailored to your interests and strengths, ensuring a steep learning curve and meaningful contributions from day one.
You will:
- Collaborate Globally – Work with cross-functional teams globally, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and business practices.
- Build Your Network – Build your professional network by engaging with stakeholders at all levels, while developing a holistic understanding of business operations through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
- Apply Theory to Practice – Apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, contributing to impactful projects in sourcing, sustainability, and supplier management.
- Strategic procurement insights – Support initiatives in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contracting - helping shape resilient and efficient supply chains.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a master’s degree in Denmark within: Supply Chain Management, International Business, Innovation, Business Development, Economics or similar (Cand.Merc).
- Able to work from out offices in Aarhus N.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
