Region NCE and Global Offshore > Global Offshore > Plant Operations Cluster 2 + Global
Plant Operations Offshore, a sub department of Technical Operations Offshore, supports the global Offshore business with deep technical expertise and acts as the link between Engineering and local business units.
Our team provides high-quality support to service technicians, delivers technical troubleshooting on SCADA and Power Plant Controller systems, and ensures secure and stable operation across offshore wind farms. In addition, we offer commissioning support for new wind farm SCADA systems, helping to ensure a smooth and secure integration into operational environments.
Being part of Plant Operations Offshore means joining a highly experienced, dedicated team that plays a key role in implementing Vestas' strategy, supporting Service organizations worldwide, and ensuring strong customer focus, operational excellence, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Act as an internal network consultant and escalation point for advanced incidents and technical questions
- Provide operational support to offshore wind farms for troubleshooting, commissioning, and implementation of network solutions
- Participate in remote support setups and on-call rotations to support site technicians and stakeholders
- Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders on network design, troubleshooting, and best practices
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers in their development and daily technical work
- Align with 1st and 3rd level support on work instructions, technical documentation, and process improvements
- Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of SCADA network solutions while remaining execution-oriented
Qualifications
- Relevant technical education in networking, engineering, computer science, automation, or a related field
- Solid hands-on experience with Cisco equipment or equivalent industrial networking platforms, with CCNA level or similar as a strong advantage
- Experience with industrial routers, switches, firewalls, remote access solutions, and structured troubleshooting
- Good understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and industrial communication protocols such as MODBUS, IEC104, OPC, or similar
- Experience with technical documentation, debugging techniques, and support of commissioning or service activities
- Very good English skills, both spoken and written
- Valid driving license B
