We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join us to develop cyber secure and well governed Hybrid Data Center offerings for the better of the world.

Core Infrastructure & Network is part of Digital Technology Solutions reporting to the CIO of Vestas, where we are end-to-end responsible for the full stack Enterprise Network, from Global Access over all Network Security services to Data Center and Cloud Networking. We develop, deliver and own strategies, roadmaps, governance and day-day operations determined by business demands and technology expertise.

We work in Agile products End-2-End responsible for all network services in the DC domain globally, and as an engineer you'll engage in all stages of a service, from design and development over implementation and roll out to governance and operations. As a Network Engineer You'll combine your expert Network Engineering capabilities with solid Operations Governance insight working hands on as well as guiding and mentoring your colleagues in the Operations team.

 

Responsibilities

  • As DC Network Engineer Your key area is continued (micro) segmentation of our services across our On-prem DCs and our cloud Hubs working with VMware NSX, Cisco ACI and CheckPoint/Cloudguard FW tags.
  • You'll be part of the End-2-End product running all our DC Hybrid Network services, from Cisco ACI infrastructure over Cloud (Azure) Networking to cross cutting infrastructure services including NSX segmentation, FWs (Check-Point/Cloudguard), Loadbalancing (Citrix Netscaler) and various Access platforms.
  • You're primary responsibilities will be implementation and management of DC cross cutting services and platforms as well as day to day operations, either on your own or through Your colleagues in our Operations team.
  • Secondary you bring your experiences and technical expertise forward and engage with architects in the product (or neighboring products) on development and governance demands.

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience working with development and support of large Enterprise Networks in general and SDN portfolios (Cisco ACI, Cloud Networking) specificaly
  • Networking Certifications from major vendors (Cisco, Vmware, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.) or formal education such as a Bachelor or Master's degree in IT, computer science, engineering or science is an expected.
  • VMware NSX and Cisco ACI are key platforms and documented design and expert hands-on competences in those domains are expected. Relevant certifications could be VMware VCIX/NV and Cisco CCNP
  • Our global network infrastructure and DC networks are Cisco based, hence experience working with Cisco equipment such as ISR4xxx, C2960X, ASR1009, C8x00 and C9x00 series at both design and hands-on levels is advantageous.
  • Knowledge about with Network Automation using Python, Ansible or comparable protocols will be a benefit and interest is a prerequisite.

  • Data Center Infrastructure services are critical path for huge investments towards both internal and external stakeholders. Delivery to plan and need is crucial.
  • Data Center Services are critical infrastructure for our business and an analytic approach, good attitude and experience troubleshooting and restoring critical services is a prerequisite.
  • You insist on automating and standardizing where possible; Basic network protocols as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN and IPSEC are your native language and OSI upper layer services are your favorite heritage. Experience with network automation is advantageous. Understanding of Network security design is advantageous.
