Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities
Your everyday activities will be characterized by high speed and the requirement to engage in, direct and prioritize between multiple critical projects. Overall expected deliverables include:

  • Develop the long-term strategic direction and vision for the Control Hardware area - main areas in scope are control panels, sensors, low voltage cables, and electronics
  • Clear leadership of a team of 4 purchasers/specialists with global responsibility
  • Ensure personal and professional development of/with each team member
  • Build a close relationship with key suppliers in the commodities and continue to deliver value through long-term supplier account management and partnerships
  • Be an essential member of the Module Ownership Team together with the category director
  • Build and define the future supply base in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the regional matrix organization on strategy development and execution

 

Qualifications

As a Manager you are expected to show the great example and challenge the organization in our ways of working. Qualifications required in the position:

  • Solid experience with strategic procurement
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • Experience with handling large yearly procurement budgets (+200MEUR)
  • Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
  • Proven record of solid stakeholder management skills and communication
  • Fluency in English
