Service > Global Service Operations > Offshore
Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, ambitious growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.
The Global Service LEAN team is responsible for driving further our Service Business' continuous improvement and execution excellence culture. We drive the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and execute breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a team of Lean Specialists in different geographical regions who will constantly work on increasing the Operational Excellence maturity of the Service business.
While keeping high Safety and Quality standards, you will engage with employees, colleagues and stakeholders globally to implement our Service Lean roadmap.
The tasks you'll perform in your region will include to:
- Continue to develop and execute the Service Lean NCE Offshore roadmap
- Secure Lean tools deployment, lead Kaizens and assess training needs
- Reduce operational costs through the implementation of Operational Excellence Projects and concepts in alignment with Global Transformation Plans and Cost-out bridges
- Facilitate sharing of Offshore best practices globally
Qualifications
- Academic Bachelor degree level or higher within Business Administration, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5-10 years of Change Management (Lean) experience and proven track record of success
- Experience within the offshore working environment
- Preferable experience as a manager
Competencies
On the personal level it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have strong interpersonal skills. You have experience with change management/implementation. You must also have experience driving improvements based on value stream analysis and communicating the next steps towards future state in a way that our technicians understand. Moreover, we expect the following competencies:
- Either certification or certified experience or education in continuous improvement disciplines
- Superior implementation and facilitation skills
- Ability to create impact & connect with our workforce
- Able to follow up in different countries (or areas within a country)
- Superior written/verbal presentation and communication skills in English, plus the main language in the country/region you work with

Additional information
Your primary work location will be Aarhus, Denmark but could also be Copenhagen (Denmark), Oostende (Belgium), Ijmuiden (NL), Warrington (GB) or Szczecin (Poland).
You should expect some travel activity, approximately 80 days per year.
